Create A Facebook Like Page And Increase Your Sales!

Create a Facebook like page and have at your disposal  a great tool for increasing sales or bringing traffic to your website.

Facebook is great for connecting up with your friends and building up a  network of contacts in your business

There are two sides of facebook one is for personal use called a “profile”  and the other can be used to promote your business and/or drive traffic to your website.

This is called a “like page”

On your Facebook profile you have “Friends” who connect up with you.

At the time of writing the current “friend” limit is 5000.

A “like page” is liked by visitors who come to your “like page” by clicking the “like” button at the top of your like page.

Once somebody has “liked” your page you can allow them to post on your “like page” and when you post something on your “like page” the person who has liked your page is able to see your posts.

Obviously the more”likes” you have then the more people receive your posts which provides a great opportunity for marketing your product!

A “like page” can be liked by an unlimited amount of  “likers” for example Coca-Cola has over a million “likes”!

The great thing about a like page is that it can be customised to a large degree.

For example you can sell products directly from a “like page” or you can place a form on the page so that a customer can subscribe to a newsletter and/or get a free gift or sample of your wares!

To create a page is simplicity itself there will be a link on your personal profile page asking you to create a page.

The first thing to remember is that while you can get a facebook address for your profile straight away eg www.facebook.com/mikesharponline

You cannot create a facebook address for your “Like Page” e.g www.facebook.com/mikesonlineacademy until you have 25 likes, until that point you get an ugly looking address so it is a good idea to get 25 likes quick!

Also you need to choose a name for your page something like “Mikes Typing Tips”.

Your “like page” name must communicate concisely what your business is about and ideally the name you choose should not be generic.

For example calling your page “Typing Tips” might lead Facebook to close your “like page” whereas “Mike Sharp’s Typing Tips” is more specific.

If you change your mind about the name of your facebook page you can change its name until you reach 100 likes then whatever name you chose you are stuck with!

Don’t forget though the address of your facebook like page cannot be changed after 25 likes.

In order to customise your “ like page” you need to know about what is called “Iframes” don’t worry this is not too complicated once you understand it.

I will cover “Iframes” in the next article.

What Is The Perfect Business?

With the advent of the internet there has never been a better time to start your own business.

Along with the above there is also the fact that economically job security is hard to come by and it would be ideal to have control of your own fate rather than depending on the fate of your employer.

What would be the perfect business?

1.The product you sell can be created on your own computer,no lengthy commute to work or paying somebody vast sums to create a product for you.

2.The product can be sold via Facebook,Amazon,Google, ebay etc

3.Orders for the product are processed automatically eg Paypal,World pay etc

4.The product can be shipped to your customer with minimal involvement from you for example digital downloads, mailing houses etc

5.Payment is paid to you automatically.

In the past all these steps were either impossible or took ages or were very complex.

In future articles I will show you how to implement “The Perfect Business”
