Are These Mistakes Driving Away Customers From Your Website?

Losing customers from websites is commonly due to leaving out the simple things!

One of the biggest mistakes made by website designers is failing to put themselves into the shoes of their potential customers.

When a customer visits your website it should be clear to the visitor what he needs to do, no clutter or big decisions to be made, no unfamiliar words.
It is a good idea to get a friend to test drive your website first and get some feedback. After all you may know what you are supposed to do but does your visitor?

With people's attention spans getting shorter you don't want your visitor to have an "ah to hell with it!" moment.

If your visitor needs to press a button make sure it looks like a button.

Also if your website contains images make sure that the filesize is small enough to ensure that your webpage doesn't take forever to load up, causing your visitor to get distracted by some random thought or the strains of a soap opera theme tune!

The way your site is organised makes a big difference to whether your visitors stick around.

Remember, when someone visits a website they scan the details, searching out important points.
Now, with fonts, make sure you don't use some way-out wacky font but choose a font from the likes of verdana, ariel, tahoma, georgia, etc.

Another way to make your headlines more readable is to begin each word with a capital letter.

For example “CLICK HERE FOR MORE DETAILS!” is not as attractive as “Click Here For More Details!”

Also another little tip…..

If your website has a sales page then placing the sales copy on your website in quotation marks in order to attract the readers attention will hold their interest and make it more likely you will make a sale or capture their details.
